"The Dinner Party (1974–79) is a monumental work of art to honor women’s achievements. Each of the 39 women honored at the table (thirteen on each side) is represented by a fourteen inch china-painted plate presented on a runner. Both the plates and the runners incorporate motifs related to the time in which each woman lived.
